i recently had the opportunity to take family photos for the most adorable family. the two little girls wore some of my {maddy jane} headbands for the shoot. i think they sported them nicely(: it was so much fun.

prom dance lessons anyone...

sometimes life brings on things that make you giggle and make you glad to have been a part of.. i received a phone call last week from a very sweet mother asking me an unexpected question. she said, "my son is stressed. He has prom in three days and is so worried because he only knows how to dance when the slow music comes on, but doesn't know what to do when the music turns fast!!" well, good thing she called me..{full time ballerina} i would know exactly what to do at prom since we rehearse and prepare for that everyday at ballet.. ha nope. wrong!!! i didn't know what to do, or what exactly i did teach that boy? i'm 20 now so i've had my share of proms. When your at dances aren't you just suppose to feel the music and do whatever you feel like? be crazzzy? well, maybe that is a dancers interpretation on it. well, more or less the lessons were a success. we literally had a dance party in his front room. so fun. i enjoyed the whole process. i love when stuff like this comes along in life. anything to boost one "new to dating" boy's self esteem. {luckily i had two girls there to help} oh joy.

"april {snow} showers, kill may flowers"..

This is what we woke up to on, april 16, 2009. i surprisingly wasn't too upset about utah's spontaneous weather. in fact, it put a huge smile on my face all morning. on my way to ballet i saw snow plopping off trees, branches in the roads, a man snow plowing his walk way in summer clothes, photographers capturing the crazy white scenery, and smiles galore.

one of my many keep sakes..

i enjoy antique nic-nacs. i might be slightly obsessed. i recently purchased this cool box with drawers to put some stationary in. isn't the postage decor' cool? i love recieving letters{who honestly doesn't?} i have saved every special letter i've ever recieved. it's such an old fashion way of communicating and for one moment makes texting second best {which it is in my mind}. today i was organizing my room and i ran into my letter box stored under my bed. i found some fun stuff in there..love notes from jr. high, a letter from my first boyfriend in 6th grade hehe, my first valentine, one from santa himself;) friends from missions, words from my mother, special events,and letters from a few whom i barely knew or havent met in person. it reminded me of how special and meaningful words are. i look forward to the letters and cards i'll be recieving in the future.

i l-o-v-e today! happy easter! there are several reasons to smile today:) -warm sun, chocolate, bunny kisses, easter lessons.

On the saturday before Easter we always have a family get together. so fun. why? because we do absolutely NOTHING. we eat, talk, nap, repeat. a fire is involved along with roasting hotdogs. i'm still trying to decide if i even like hotdogs..? i do love my grandma's home-made chocolate peanut butter eggs and my aunts delicious fruit dip. mmm... and the smell of an outside fire. i can't wait to play up in the canyon!

one lovely sunday..

I just love conference Sundays. I got to sleep in! woot woot! The talks were perfect. I love the council that we were given. "Fear not.." don't be afraid even through these hard economic times. "Trust" and "Spend wisely" and we will be blessed:) I love the warm sun that came out today, it had been well missed during the cold week. ( i had to turn my A.C.on in my car!) oh, can i just tell you i also love babies. I visited my good friend Kayla today and her adorable new born son, Troy. so cute. I wanted to take him home with me. Babies are seriously the sweetest most Innocent beings on earth. Honestly, all they do is eat, sleep, go potty, and cry ( probably not always fun..) but that's it! they don't complain, talk back to you, they just lay there and love you no matter what. how fun for Kayla.. "you did good" haha, CONGRATS:) baby Troy Roper.
