it's official! i will be going yard selling every saturday morning for the rest of the summer!
{1} there are great finds {vintage & retro}.
{2} it's cheap. {3} it is super fun.
{4} i didn't even spend a $1 today!
this tree frightened me at first, then made me laugh...
it's a real tree that was in someone's yard!
i bought these 1950 old school christmas lights! they still work, and my favorite..
a red wooden bead at the top of each light!
{only $0.10}
this is a vintage 1970's dish
{hope to find different cool ones each week}
{$0.25}
i am on the hunt for a Polaroid camera.
or any old camera i can get my hands on.
my hopes are to find one by the end of the summer!

{#14} a day at the park.

let me share the story...
it started out like this...
the family eating a typical american meal,
on a blanket, at the park...
then a friend {whom we didn't know} thought we should share.
and once we did...
we had a new best friend. we fell in love and wanted to take her home.
she was seriously an awesome dog!
janelle almost kept her...should have:(
but, it didn't end there, on that particular day in lehi... ...there was a dance performance.
it was quite the show if you ask us.
so inspirational, it had us in tears {from intense laughter}
it was a dynamic duo, a legendary dance of sorts...
and we didn't even have to pay a dime to see it!
-these dance moves have a copy right people.
{please note: i do not know these girls.}
THE BEST FOR LAST...
this darling old man, whom loved to stare...and stare.
he took his cute military hat and a shopping cart out for a walk. this just doesn't happen at the park for everyone.
you have to plan this stuff for weeks to get entertainment like this.
or...just relocate your park choice to lehi;)

{13} yesterday i had a sugar cookie for breakfast, lunch, linner, and dinner...no seriously!

everyone always says, "you won't always be able to eat like that!"
but, i say, i might as well while i can!
or atleast while i'm still dancing all hours of the day.
these cookies above are from smart cookie.
oh, dippidy in a.f. has really good sugar cookies too!

{12} wow! it must be movie marathon week!

we saw pixar's... "UP"
just me, maddy, mayson, mom, and janelle
we all loved the movie, it was so adorable.
i usually don't care for cartoons but, i liked it.
i do recommend.

(#9) rule: have as many girls nights out as possible...or atleast once a week!

me, mom, allie, janelle, and yes madelyn too
saw this movie...
i think we can all agree, she was our favorite ghost...

{8} listening to my niece maddy jane's negotiations...

" i'm going to the movie, grandpa is going to babysit you!"
-said her mom
{many tears of sadness from maddy} "is janika going too?"
-cried madelyn!
"ya, she is. Grandpa will take you too the park."
-said her mom.
"ok, then i want a scooter and five dollars"
-replied a very smart 3 yr. old!
hahahaha...a little too many bribes maddy maybe? she's got the whole bribe thing down and is only 3. i love her! smart girl.

(#7) i watched this chick flick...

"he's just not that into you"
i really liked this movie, it was witty, cute, sad, funny,
helpful, confusing, and truthful...
which sums up to be quite the perfect chick flick right?

me and my oldest niece jayden.

{#4} a sleepover at grandma's house...

may 31st, who said a 20 year old can't sleep & play at grandma's?
just me, mom, and grandma {three generations} had a sleepover. it was perfect. this is briefly what we did.
We ate homemade tomato basil soup. laughed. mother napped, grandma told me stories. she showed me family antiques like great grandpa's bifocals. i held a 150 year old purse. i pretended to shave my face. she showed me an old book. looked at photos. we played dress up, i wore a real 1920's flapper dress and hat {my fav.}. i wore one of my grandma's suits. i danced around in it. i saw all her old camera's and fell in love. we laughed some more. mother played with my hair. we watched pride and prejudice:). slept in my moms old room. it was perfect.
Me and my beautiful grandma

Me in a REAL flapper dress/hat from 1920's

This is how men shaved...scary

Great grandpa's bifocals, haha i think i'll stick to contacts, thanks.

ok this counts as #5... i'm rockin my grandma's suit! she really wore this. i'm much taller than my grandma and the pants were the perfect length on me? she said the reason was because they wore the pants up on the stomachs then now we like low rise. haha sometimes i wish i lived in a different era. 1920's, 30's, 50's, 60's....any please.

there may be more sleepovers at grandma's in the future.
