This is my newest ::maddy jane:: creation. I decided i'm going to post whenever I put a new item in my shop. In the pic it's a clip but can be an elastic headband or a stretch nylon material for a baby. This is all fun for me. I love keeping my hands busy.

congrats mayson..

Yesterday {march 28, 2009} I attended my nephew Mayson's baptism and 8th Birthday. What a special day it was for him:) The baptism went well and mayson had the biggest smile on his face, it was so sweet. I was chosen by Mayson himself to give the talk on the "spirit of the holy ghost". I had prepared a talk, planned on mayson coming up front with me and my words being directed to him. I even got him a gift (a journal) I wanted him to open in the end of my talk in front of everyone. When I got there they had squeezed in another baptism for a new convert of the church at the same time as mayson's. I was a little nervious because I only had one journal to give. The other little 8 year old boy was named Eric, his family was new converts to the church. I had to kind of improv and include him in the talk too. I ended up giving the gift I got for Mayson to Eric. I just had too, it seemed right. So, I.O.U. a journal mayson:) The two boys were darling and new all the answers to my questions I had prepared. They were so happy and proud to be there. The boys had such a wonderful spirit about them and it just lighted you up being in their presence. It reminded me of my personal baptism and the special spirit I felt that day. I can't believe that was 12 years ago for me. Anyways, CONGRATS & HAPPY BIRTHDAY MACE DOGG!! I LOVE YOU, - Aunt Janika

seven silly years...

Dear nephew jarom, happy birthday. You are such a COOL nephew. You make me laugh and smile. You are really polite and thoughtful of others. I will never forget the story your mom told me of you walking in the house with a real bloody cow leg in your hand and asking your mom if you could keep it. Hilarious haha. What silly thing will you do next, i'm excited to hear about it. Love you lots and lots. - Your Aunt Janika

yes, yes, I am hooked too..

I have been a committed viewer of Amercan Idol for about...(wait what season is this?) well, since the beginning or otherwise, Kelly Clarkson's win. This season, I have loved Danny from the beginning. I maybe like Matt. But, tonight I fell in love with... Kris. he stole the show for me tonight. I like his unique voice. so cute:)

Baseball games & sunburns.

Ahhh. This weekend I got to go to sunny St. George and enjoy some warm weather and baseball games w/part of the fam. I'm so proud of my brother Ryan. He is a very talented pitcher, hitter, and third baseman. I find I really only enjoy baseball when my brother is playing (and when sunflower seeds and bubblegum are involved). Dear really warm weather, Why can't you come down to Utah County? Didn't your mother teach you about sharing? Thanks for the sunburn though. xoxo, jan

silly boots.

Today I was wearing a fun pair of boots. I was excited to wear them out and about. It seemed like it had been a while since I had put them on so I was a little excited ( yes, I know. silly it may seem.) Anyways, I have a question...has a new pair of shoes, heels, or and unfamiliar boot ever made you forget how to drive? Let me explain. Picture this. I'm in my car, stopped at a red light. As normal my foot is rested on the break awaiting for the light to change. The light then turns green. I lift my foot off the pedal thinking I am going to take off when all the sudden I jolted to a stop again. What? Where is the gas pedal? -insert my stomach dropping-!! I totally got confused and hit the break again. Let me just say that these silly boots were too blame. They almost caused an accident. Thankfully I only got honked at once. It's so interesting how your mind and feet can get confused just because they aren't familiar with something. Please tell me this isn't something that just happens to me. If so, I guess you can keep laughing.

yummy.

Beautiful pastel palette of jacquard and playful patterns for the spring. The inspiration comes from Indian mosaic tiles, fabrics, traditional flower malas worn at Hindu ceremonies, and Indian embroidery techniques. They also got a inspiration from artist such as Monet & Degas. J-crew recently has changed things up a bit with a new designer and all. I love the new line! check it out at www.jcrew.com
